Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

Pressed from dried coconut without heat or solvents, this oil keeps the sweet coconut smell that gets lost in refining. It sets solid in cool weather and turns clear again when it warms — a normal property of unrefined coconut oil.

Used along the coast for tempering, coconut chutney, sweets and podis, and kept in many homes for hair and skin as well.
